The client

Fashion District Festival is a future-facing celebration of fashion, technology, sustainability, and culture, set in the heart of East London. It brings together designers, startups, and industry leaders for a week of exhibitions, panels, pop-ups, and public experiences - all centred around creative innovation.

I worked with Fashion District on retainer for over three years, becoming an embedded part of their creative ecosystem. Together, we developed everything from digital campaigns to large-scale print installations - shaping the way the brand shows up online and on the streets.

the brief

For the 2023 edition of the Festival, they were ready to evolve the brand: sharper, more tech-leaning, with stronger visual clarity and better adaptability across digital and physical spaces. Some core elements remained, but the overall visual system needed a rethink - something less clashing, more refined, and print-friendly. Sustainability remained central, but the tone needed to be progressive and bold, not earthy or passive.

The Approach

I restructured the visual language with an emphasis on duality - pairing clean typography with layered, data-inspired textures. We introduced a refined colour system: core neutrals with electric accents, suitable for both screen and large-format print. The identity took cues from both future-facing fashion tech and street-level culture, resulting in a design system that felt both elevated and grounded.

I crafted all creative assets for the festival, including motion content, social campaigns, environmental graphics such as vinyl takeovers, way-finding and printed programmes and signage.
